Photo Retouching Services

Product photos are often what really sell your jewelry. Afterall, customers can't see the item in person so they must rely on photos to determine if a jewelry item is what they are looking for. Show off your jewelry to its best advantage by presenting the best possible photographs on your website.

We offer color alterations so you don't have to photograph your jewelry in every metal you offer. Send us your white metal photos and we can add a touch of yellow gold. In some cases we can also heighten the color of a gemstone.

Below are a few examples of what we can do.

Before After

As you can see, the original photo is of decent quality. This is exactly what you might see in a case display. However, with some retouching work, the gems become more vibrant, and the ring seems to shine. It is closer to the ideal vision of the ring.

Smaller photos like the ones above can get by with lesser quality, but larger photos or zoom-in pictures require greater detail because they undergo closer scrutiny. Below are sections of the before and after of a larger photo.

With this pair of photos, the before photograph is off-color, blurry, and dull. It's hard to imagine that this is a precision set piece of jewelry. The after photo balances the color, brightens up the center diamond and adds visual contrast for depth and sparkle. This adds an air of quality that the before photo cannot achieve.

Here is an example of adding yellow gold color to a jewelry item.

Original Yellow Gold
White Metal Gold Metal

Here we have heightened the color of a pair of sapphires in a setting. Often photographing a jewelry item in order to maximize diamond brilliance causes the photographer to sacrifice the color of any set gemstones.

Photo retouching is billed at an hourly rate to accomodate wide ranges in the quantity of photos to be altered. The time devoted to each image depends on the desired adjustment and the quality of the original photograph. A more accurate assessment can be made after examining a sample image.
